HAPPY OLO – THE MERRY TALE OF OLO DOBA
A ‘road movie’ documentary about one of the most outstanding Polish travelers – Aleksander Doba.
A story full of optimism, smiles and music.
In his original and distinctive way, the Olo of the title (Polish diminutive for Aleksander) tells his stories during his journey, during which he transports his kayak through the charming landscapes of Poland. These stories are accompanied by footage of his daring trans-Atlantic expeditions, and animations of his adventures interwoven with songs.
The youthful nature of Olek, even though he is in his 70s, is revealed by the fi lm’s playing with conventions and the imaginary characters which appear en route.
The fi lm praises the pursuit of dreams.
In its positive and somewhat unrealistic approach, it addresses viewers of all ages.

The work of the band is a great example of the fact that alternative music can be appealing and uncompromising at the same time. Captivating
